Something quick I cooked up at work during lunch break. Nothing crazy… Just a few simple chops with strings and drums.
Drum Break: Paul Ferrette’s Modern Sounds Of Steel - “Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In”.
Scored this $2 banger at @irisrecsJC. Dope drum break near the end of the LTSI portion of the record.
Back In The Day: NYC Subway 1975-1984. Photographs by John F. Conn.
Had the pleasure of meeting this incredible photographer last year at Union Square, NYC. Blessed me with one of his last copies of his book, signed and all! If you get a chance, direct yourself over to his website (http://johnconnphotography.com) and check out his work.
@OpenCrates Crew doing our usual at @irisrecsJC. Peace to @1worldfamous @StevenDRoyster @sieteson @cloy_pi.
2 versions of same exact album. Both contain “Ode To Billy Joel” drum break. Curcio/I Giganti Del Jazz 53. Harry ‘Sweets’ Edison - Seven Eleven LP. #DrumBreaks #DaBreaks #HeavyWeightCrates #CrateFlexin #UnitedCratesOfAmerica
Had the pleasure of helping m’man, Just Blaze breeze through his record collection for his segment on Crate Diggers.
Started messing with AKAI MPC Renaissance. Gonna’ take some getting use to but I’m not mad at it one bit.
Remix of “Moment Of Clarity” I did for the S. Carter: The Re-Mix project that was put together by Lenny S. and Just Blaze in 2004. Everyone that got involved seem to focus on remixing all the popular songs from the Black Album. I decided to focus on a song nobody paid much attention to and give it a different energy. Thanks to my bro, Just Blaze for freakin’ the cuts!!!
