Remix of “Moment Of Clarity” I did for the S. Carter: The Re-Mix project that was put together by Lenny S. and Just Blaze in 2004. Everyone that got involved seem to focus on remixing all the popular songs from the Black Album. I decided to focus on a song nobody paid much attention to and give it a different energy. Produced by me, Big Jack (Beats4daze) & BK (formerly of Double X Posse). Gotta thank m’man Salaam Remi for getting this placed on her album. He was overseeing her project and they were just about to wrap it up. I was sitting in on Angie’s sessions at Playpen Studio on 54th St. and happened to be playing my beat cd while waiting for her to show up. When she got there, she settled in and was like “fuck is this?”. Told her it was a beat cd I was playing. She said “shit is hot, son!”. She kept listening… listening… then finally picked a few joints. Salaam helped her narrow it down to the “New York, New York” beat. She reached out and got Prodigy (Mobb Deep) and DJ Clue to jump on the track and the rest is…. you already know!
