Beats4daze

This is a song I produced for Connecticut based rapper - A.D.(Absaloot DiNigro) in 2000. The beat was actually created in late ’90s. We recorded the song at my home studio in Jersey City and hired Troy Hightower to mix it at Unique Recording Studio in Manhattan.

Produced by me, Big Jack (Beats4daze) & BK (formerly of Double X Posse). Gotta thank m’man Salaam Remi for getting this placed on her album. He was overseeing her project and they were just about to wrap it up. I was sitting in on Angie’s sessions at Playpen Studio on 54th St. and happened to be playing my beat cd while waiting for her to show up. When she got there, she settled in and was like “fuck is this?”. Told her it was a beat cd I was playing. She said “shit is hot, son!”. She kept listening… listening… then finally picked a few joints. Salaam helped her narrow it down to the “New York, New York” beat. She reached out and got Prodigy (Mobb Deep) and DJ Clue to jump on the track and the rest is…. you already know!
